Since we have been in the business for a while we have seen a lot of rental mistakes that we want to help to prevent you from making. Here are some tips from us at CREC Property Management to ensure you don’t make these same mistakes!  

Lease Terms:

You put your lease terms there for a reason. Make sure you stick to them! In order to maintain the beauty of your property and the reputation you must enforce the lease terms you put in place.   

Repair Costs:

It is crucial that you do not underestimate the repair costs. If a guest breaks something in your home, make sure you get a thorough price estimate so that you do not lose money. Doing this will ensure that you are covered and holding the tenant responsible for damages.   

Vacancies:

It is important that you budget and prepare for vacancies. It is inevitable that your property will have vacancies at some point in the future. Use that time to make improvements to your property and prepare for the next tenant  

Evictions:

Do not put off evicting someone if they have violated multiple guidelines and are a bad tenant. Your home is your asset and it is crucial that you protect it. You will be able to find another tenant who is able to respect the guidelines and pay rent on time.
